Welcome to IMIM, International Master in Industrial Management!
IMIM is a two-year, full-time and multi-site programme offered by three leading universities in Europe:
The IMIM programme gives managerial skills to students with a technical background.
Education is performed in a highly internationalized environment with the possibility to spend the four semesters in up to 4 different countries. All students spend the first semester in Spain at UPM; the second semester in Italy at POLIMI. Students have the possibility to choose among different optional streams of specialization in different Universities and Countries. According to the chosen area or region of interest, students attend the 3rd semester in the University specialized in that particular field or situated in a specific geographical area. The final semester is for Master thesis and can be performed virtually in any Country of the world.
In addition to the delivery of managerial content, the program facilitates and stimulates the participation to the social, economical, cultural life of the hosting Countries (e.g. with courses of local language, seminars of local managers, Company visits).
For further details about the Programme Structure, please go to the 'Programme Description' section of this website.
The IMIM Programme was founded in 2004 by Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain), Politecnico di Milano (Italy) and KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden). It has been successfully implemented with funding from the Erasmus Mundus Programme from 2006 to 2010. Due to the high quality throughout demonstrated, in 2010 IMIM has been awarded by the European Commission/EACEA an Erasmus Mundus Brand Name (EMBN). In 2012 the Consortium and the Programme changed their structures and different streams of specialisation were introduced for the 3rd semester. The Master was then awarded with the Erasmus Mundus funding for the years 2013-2017. In 2013 Heriot-Watt University (Scotland, UK) joined the IMIM Consortium.
